Very friendly welcome, great food, cakes and hot drinks at good prices. Lovely setup, reasonable amount of off road parking for cars and bikes! I will be calling again.
The friendly staff and quality refreshments served in the homely environment makes the Fiddle Drill a great place to head for. Caters for locals, visitors, walkers and cyclists all greeted with a warm welcome. My favourite is the pie platter washed down with a pot of tea. An East Yorkshire gem !!!!
Popped in for the first time on a Friday afternoon for a coffee with my friend. There was only one table free so obviously very popular! Only had a coffee and a brownie as we were short of time but the menu looked great and we will certainly be returning.
Lucky to get a table on a busy Sunday. Lovely bacon and egg sandwich, nice runny egg! Went with three other people. Their orders of panini's and salmon salad looked good too. Been a few times- always lovely.
Lovely looking converted barn, really nicely done. Friendly and pleasant people serving. The food is really delicious. To make it perfect, the Victoria sponge cake would have butter cream in the middle with the jam but was otherwise top notch. Tasty Yorkshire tea was served in a big brown teapot, which was great. The extra water I asked for was served in a small, open jug, which would go cold by the time the pot needed a top up but it wasn't really needed because there was ample tea in the big pot. The bacon and egg sandwich was very nice but it ought to have been cut in half first to make it easier to tackle and for better presentation. It was served on a small side plate when it needed a bigger one. Modern commercial pop played continuously but every customer was over pensionable age. It would be better to have a variety of music types playing so that there's something for everyone, or just classic pop. The two tables we sat at were dirty with crumbs and wet cup rings and I could see the child's high chair was dirty as well. I would still go back though because it was exceptionally good food in a lovely looking and friendly place.
